Translating

How do I translate on the chat site?

  1. Start a new chat and pick Translator from the model menu.
  2. Paste the text, or attach a photo or file.
  3. It translates into English by default — or into Spanish if what you pasted is already English.
  4. For another language, say so first: "to Japanese: where is the train station?"

It only translates; for questions, use Gemma + Web.

How do I translate a Discord message?

  • Just for you: right-click (or long-press on mobile) the message → Apps → Translate. You get an English translation only you can see.
  • For everyone in the channel: use /translate with text: (or attach an image:), and optionally pick a language with to: (it autocompletes).

There's a 10-second wait between translations per person. Very long texts get cut off, so translate long things in parts.

Can it translate a picture with text in it?

Yes: attach the photo (Translator on the chat site, or /translate image: in Discord) and it reads and translates the text. It gives you the translated text — it doesn't redraw the picture.
